First Appearance of Vixen XLUX:
As a whole this product comes with a dab keeper, dab tool and a ceramic heating chamber as well as a double coil quartz heating chamber already attached. The Black Vixen XLUX sits about 3 ½ in. tall which replicates any lipstick perfectly. The cap is magnetized and comes off easily. The heating chamber is gold and the mouthpiece is the lipstick, which is a voluptuous red! The mouthpiece is also magnetized to the heating chamber. There are three different heat settings that can be toggled through by pressing the button (the “V”) three times. The lowest is Green which operates at 400℉, medium is Blue operating at 500℉, and highest is Red operating at 600℉. Five clicks powers it on/off.
I do recommend to charge it completely before using it because I have yet to charge it and it is day 3 of some pretty decent use!
Getting it dirty!: (Unfortunately I don’t have any wax so this will be a mostly shatter party)
The first dab sacrificed was the Orange Soda from Incredibles, using the double coil quartz heating chamber on the medium setting. I did place the dab right on the coil, but be careful not to push too hard or you will break them. Orange Soda is like a shatter/pullnsnap/sap consistency.
HOLY CRAP! What a taste and holy cloud of dab ghosts!! Absolutely stunned at how great the Vixen preserved the terpenes and delivered a dab rig hit! I was able to get about 4 nice tasty dabs until I had to reload it and start the party all over again.
Switching over to the ceramic heating element:
The heating elements unscrew from the battery and switched over my lipstick tip. I wanted to try the orange soda in this element as well so I could have a control throughout. I did move the temperature back down to green (lowest) because ceramic it is easy to burn dabs, I feel, and the lower the temp, the more terpene flavor!
Fourth dab in on green sparked a sneeze fit but still a lot of flavor! The clouds are not as huge with this heating element on this setting but it is still delivering the same experience as above.
TURN IT UP!
I moved up to medium just to see how the terpenes were preserved and delivered. The taste was a little hot, meaning the dab was not as tasty as on the lowest temperature. I definitely prefer the lowest temperature with this heating element.
Break time...dab out dab out!
Trying CBD distillate in the Vixen was not like taking an actual dab, due to the fact that I didn’t get the insane Cherry flavor off of it. I did do this with the double coil quartz heating element. The taste was a tiny tiny bit burnt tasting but nothing that pushed me away from it. The relief and affect from this did mimic a dab perfectly! I loved the rush for relief go over my body; it was almost like a silk wave of water washed over me.
After careful inspection and use of the XLUX Vixen, this is by far my favorite vaping accessory. I really enjoy the clouds I get off of each hit and I like the fact that it really does feel like a real dab. I personally prefer the double coil quartz heating element a tiny bit more than I do the ceramic heating element but not by much. I feel like I am able to get more hits off of the quartz heating element than I do the ceramic heating element. However, with the ceramic heating element, I feel like I am able to smoke up all of my product and not feel like there is any getting left behind. I have had to only charge it once since I got it and it wasn't even dead yet, I just didn’t want it to die during the weekend. Also, on the plus side of everything it is super discrete. All in all, very nice product for vaping and I would recommend this to anyone!!
